The CYRD3000 series intelligent motor soft starter is a new type of starting devices of internationally advanced level, produced with power electronics, microprocessor technology and modern control theory and technology. It is able to effectively limit the starting voltage of asynchronous motors, hence is applicable for heavy equipment like fans, water pumps, conveyors and compressors. This makes it the ideal substitute for start/delta conversion, self-coupling, magnetic control and other reduced-voltage starting devices.

Operating principles

The main circuit of the CYRD3000 series intelligent motor soft starter has 6 antiparallel thyristors serially connected to the stator circuit of the AC motor. With the electronic switch function of the thyristors, their flow angle may be varied by changing the trigger angle of the microprocessor controller, which will in turn regulate the input voltage of the motor, thus realizing the purpose of soft starting control. After soft starting, the output of the soft starter will reach the rated voltage. You may then input the motor into the grid by actuating the three-phase bypass contactor KM.
